Michio Kaku Isn’t Ashamed to Use the Word “God”

“I work in something called String Theory which makes the statement that we are reading the mind of God. … We physicists are the only scientists who can say the word “God” and not blush,” Michio Kaku writes on his Big Think blog.
“The fact of the matter is that we are dealing with the cosmic questions of existence and meaning. Thomas Huxley, the great biologist of the last century, said that the question of all questions for science and religion is to determine our true place and our true role in the Universe. For both science and religion it is the same question. However, there has essentially been a divorce in the last century or so between that of science and the Humanists and I think that it’s very sad that we don’t speak the same language anymore.”

Albert Einstein disse uma vez algo muito profundo. Ele disse que o Universo poderia ter sido caótico, aleatório e feio e ainda temos esta síntese maravilhosa na origem do próprio Universo, dando origem às galáxias, planetas, DNA, a vida. Einstein disse que a harmonia que ele vê não poderia ter sido um acidente. Nós não estamos necessariamente a falar sobre o design dos seres humanos, nós não estamos falando sobre uma intervenção que nos deu olhos, narizes e orelhas, mas onde as leis da física vêm?

Como você sabe, eu trabalho em uma coisa chamada Teoria das Cordas, que faz a afirmação de que estamos lendo a mente de Deus. É baseado na música ou pouco cordas vibrantes dando-nos assim partículas que vemos na natureza. As leis da química que lutou com no colégio seria a melodias que você pode jogar nessas cordas vibrantes. O Universo seria uma sinfonia dessas cordas vibrantes e da mente de Deus, que Einstein escreveu sobre a duração seria de ressonância música cósmica através deste nirvana ... por este 11 dimensional hiperespaço, que seria a mente de Deus. Nós, físicos, são os cientistas só quem pode dizer a palavra "Deus" e não blush.

O fato da questão é que estamos lidando com as questões da existência cósmica e significado. Thomas Huxley, o grande biólogo do século passado disse que a questão de todas as questões para a ciência e religião é determinar o nosso verdadeiro lugar e nosso verdadeiro papel no Universo. The laws of chemistry that we struggled with in high school would be the melodies that you can play on these vibrating strings. The Universe would be a symphony of these vibrating strings and the mind of God that Einstein wrote about at length would be cosmic music resonating through this nirvana… through this 11 dimensional hyperspace—that would be the mind of God.
